No, this isn't the Battle of Britain. It's just a Heinkel 111, a Luftwaffe twin-engine bomber of World War II that was manufactured in the thousands, over my house after takeoff from the Ithaca airport during an air show. This aircraft was actually used in a filming, though, of the Battle of Britain and is said to be the last operational He-111 in the world (no great loss). Owned and maintained by the Confederate Air Force in the southwest U.S. at the time of the photo, it is reported to have been built under license in Spain.
