Pinot Noir Grapes

In late September Pinot Noir grapes ripen in the Wagner Farm vineyard on Seneca Lake. These grapes, in the hands of skilled winemakers, produce a world class red wine. It is also unusually high in resveratrol, the substance said to be the magic ingredient that is responsible for a relatively low incidence of heart disease in the French despite a rich diet. It has also recently been reported that it may help to prevent colon cancer. At any rate, it makes a delicious wine.
