Heart Lake is adjacent to the Adirondack Lodge, operated by the Adirondack Mountain Club, eight miles from Lake Placid. It is viewed here from the summit of Mt. Jo, elevation 2876', which is reached on a 45-minute climb from the Lodge and provides excellent views to the south and west.
