Buttermilk Falls in autumn color. Buttermilk is one of the most accessible of the Finger Lakes water falls; just drive in to the parking lot immediately off of Route 13 (Elmira Rd.). The water in the life-guarded swimming area at the base is cooler than at Treman Park or Ithaca Falls and is wonderfully refreshing in mid-summer.
