The Upper Falls of Lick Brook Gorge

This spectacular gorge and waterfall is viewed from the Sweedler Nature Preserve, one of the properties protected by the Finger Lakes Land Trust. It can be reached from the Finger Lakes Trail going north from the vicinity of Treman State Park, passing under NY Route 13, and then diverting onto the Blue trail at the bottom of the gorge (the Blue trail follows the old piece of the FLT which has now been rerouted).

A beautirul circuit hike of about 1.5 miles can be made by taking the Blue trail to the top of the falls, and then circling back on the rerouted segment of the FLT, taking you along a knife ridge between two ravines.
