Ithaca is noted for the gorges and waterfalls in the vicinity including Buttermilk Falls, Enfield Glen, Taughannock Falls, Ithaca Falls and Cascadilla Gorge. Ithaca also has a rich cultural and recreational life, some of which is captured in the page of Ithaca Activities.

The entire Finger Lakes region is one of scenic beauty with rolling hills, vineyards and fruit orchards, the lakes, and many more gorges and waterfalls. A small sampling of the possibilities is presented here.

Hiking and cross-country skiing in the Adirondack Mountains provides rich photo opportunities. Most of the photos on this site are of the High Peaks region; a limited number of shots are from the Catskills to the south.

The fields and rolling hills of central NY are filled with wildflowers from early spring to late fall.

Central NY has a rich history in aviation that continues even now. The aviation section of this web site is devoted to photos of various aircraft sightings in the Central NY area.
